Job Description

  1. Responsible for handling inbound calls from US/Canada customers and providing the passengers with the best destinations and guiding them with the best ticket deals.
  2. Ensure that excellent customer service experience and selling airline tickets.
  3. Resolve customer queries within the assigned TAT & ascertain customer needs and take action in a timely manner
  4. Develop international itinerary for travel requests received from clients.
  5. Providing customers with the best possible flight routings and competitive airfares.
  6. Keep a track of the Amadeus ques twice a day to and filter the cancellations, schedule change, confirmations and send to the concerned Staff
  7. Handling end to end travel requirements for the traveller- Creating bookings/Cancellations/Reissues/Refunds etc.
  8. Confirm bookings and notify clients of luggage limits and insurance, medical, passport, visa and currency requirements
  9. Processing bookings by speaking with Airlines/suppliers and sending confirmations to clients/customers
  10. Ensuring customer is advised appropriate cancellation & refund rules.
  11. Undertake all back office related activities such as handling reissues, advanced fares, etc
  12. Assist the client for complete travel requirements such as rail, cab, Travel Insurance, Forex etc
  13. Completion of transactions to be accurate and with no negative financial impact to customer or Airlines
  14. Enter data into CRS ( Galileo / Amadeus/Sabre ) & proper CRM has been done.
  15. Cross sell and up-sell (sell Tour packages, Insurance, Forex in coordination with foreign exchange team ,tour packages team .) to continuously contribute to the business of the company.
  16. Co-ordinate with multiple departments to ensure quick resolution for the customer.
  17. Responsible for assist with any other office functions if required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Handle Incoming/ walkins Requests

  • Consistently chooses the correct GDS Travel tools and systems to complete requests
  • Search and confirm travel reservations for the customer (flight/ cruise)
  • Understands and accurately applies client travel policy and requirements to each interaction
  • Provide travel offers and general travel advice to travelers
  • Responds to requests accurately and completely
  • Understands and accurately applies travel supplier rules
  • Maintains current knowledge of the state of the various travel industries supported
  • Provides the customer with the required industry information, such as low fares, exchange costs and penalties
  • Can fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, FAA, passports, visas, etc.)
  • Supports BookOtrip and client driven initiatives

Quality

  • Consistently meets and sometimes exceeds individual and team goals
  • Effectively uses the telephone systems
  • Completes reservations with a few errors
  • Consistently follows BookOtrip Travel call/email guidelines
  • Adheres to BookOtrip Travel policies and procedures to maintain quality control
  • Provides the customer a full recap of the confirmed itinerary

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the travel industry
  • Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures and processes
  • Knowledgeable of travel industry systems (i.e. GDS)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in designated languages
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to work independently, exercising discretion and judgment
  • Demonstrated professional customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated internet research skills for customer information
  • Degree in tourism-related field
  • Strong problem solving and/or critical thinking skills
